A manuscript case report for a phrenological reading of the character and mental development of William Hillhouse. "Reported phonographically by C.J. Hambleton". Hillhouse was reported to be "ardent, active, excitable, wide-a-wake, earnest, positive" and should find himself a wife "who is domestic, kind, gentle, respectful and has good practical commonsense." Accompanied by illustrated printed wrappers; may have formerly been attached at head and this margin trimmed by former owner. Outer lower printed wrapper contains advertisements for works on phrenology and physiology published by Fowlers and Wells.
